Olga Jansen, is a captain of a pirate band, and despite her age, her accomplishments already make her have a great reward, her explosive personality is reflected in her skill and aggressiveness with her pistol, a pirate's trademark.
Creative process:
I wanted to convey a feeling of confidence and joy of an energetic person, the idea of making a pirate was to address a universe that was not yet part of my work and that I always wanted to address, the character's design was already synthesized in my mind and it was the starting point for the rest.
Production process:
I decided to make the character with orange as her base color, from there, I thought of making the darkness of the night along with her blue color, contrasting and dividing the screen with the heat and luminosity of the fire with the orange color, I used references for the background also predominantly orange, changing its values, saturation and hue to decrease the contrast between blue and orange, the same concept was used in the character in addition to harmonizing, ending the monotony of orange, I also used the language of shapes both in the character and against the background of a triangle with straight edges to indicate power and stability. The background was made through vectors and the character in free hands
